Job Description

We are currently in search of a Medical Assistant (certified or registered preferred), who likes to connect with people and has a compassionate outlook for our patients at our Beavercreek location. Beavercreek Commons Family Practice, like all Providence Medical Group primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care. This is a very busy location.
What you will do:
Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. Complete patient interview and history. Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider. May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests. Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients. Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples. Administer vaccines as directed by provider. Manage a high volume of patient requests. Administrative/clerical duties as required. Travel between locations may be required.Skills :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA compliance Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments Ability to draw blood High level of professionalism Athena experience preferredEducation:
High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program Certification/Registration from an Accredited Board preferred or a minimum of 1 year experience and the ability to obtain certification or registration.Benefits:
