Job Title:
Medical Assistant (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Cincinnati, Ohio Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to join our private practice. You will be a vital link between our patients and providers, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to discharge. This role requires a multi-skilled individual capable of performing essential clinical tasks while maintaining an organized and welcoming front-office environment.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties:
Patient Intake:
Room patients, record accurate medical histories, and measure vital signs (BP, heart rate, temperature, weight).
Provider Support:
Assist physicians during examinations and minor surgical procedures; prepare and sterilize instruments.
Medical Procedures:
Perform phlebotomy, administer injections/vaccinations, and conduct basic diagnostic tests (EKG, urinalysis).
Patient Education:
Clearly explain physician instructions, medications, and follow-up care plans to patients and families.
Administrative Duties:
Records Management:
Update and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) with high accuracy and strict HIPAA compliance.
Patient Coordination:
Handle multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate external referrals or hospital admissions.
Operations:
Manage inventory of clinical and office supplies; ensure exam rooms are clean and fully stocked.
Billing Support:
Assist with insurance verification and basic coding for claims processing.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification:
Current CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA (NHA) preferred.
Soft Skills:
Empathy:
High emotional intelligence to support patients during vulnerable moments.
Adaptability:
Ability to stay calm and switch quickly between administrative and clinical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills for clear collaboration with the healthcare team.
Technical:
Experience/Proficiency in working with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) and basic office software (Excel, Outlook).
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
