Schedule Includes :
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Enter and update patient demographics in scheduling/EHR system Screen patient insurance cards/information, informing patients of whether we are in-network Schedule, enter and update patient appointments Answer and direct incoming phone calls, including client care questions Contact new patient referrals Complete account balance payments; co payments, coinsurance Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Communicate with colleagues to maintain smooth and efficient day to day operations Measures and records patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirations and other routine supportive patient care. Assists with covering front office phones and directing patients to examination rooms. Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established parameters. Assists Prescribers and Nursing staff, with examinations, treatments, special tests, and procedures. Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients. Other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Medical Assisting Diploma Minimum 2 years' experience required (Medical Office) High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience in a medical environment required. Clean urine drug screen upon hire (zero tolerance policy). Background check upon hire.
