Job Description
We are an established Obstetrics & Gynecology office in the Columbus area seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality patient care at our Gahanna office. Duties Room patients; perform patient intake, including obtaining medical history and vital signs. Administration of medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers. Maintain accurate patient records using Athena EHR system, ensuring all information is up to date. Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment in accordance with OSHA. Preparation and turning over examination rooms. Prepare specimens to be sent to the lab for processing. Requirements Previous experience in a medical setting is required, preferably in Ob/GYN. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, is essential. Familiarity with EHR systems for effective patient record management. Ability to understand and adhere to HIPAA laws. Ability to perform vital sign assessments and understand medication administration protocols. Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient service and communication with the healthcare team. Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
