SELF STARTER
to join our team as a Front Desk Administrative Assistant with option to Float. In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support, supervision and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives and contribute to their overall healthcare experience.
Role:
Acting as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Liaison between the practice and referring providers. Schedule appointments, lab and diagnostic tests, procedures/injections, etc. Schedule New Patient Appointments within the EMR. Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and update medical information as necessary. Oversight of insurance verification Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service. Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel. New Patient Referral Management Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and coordination of patient care. Other essential duties may include, but are not limited to: collecting copays; sorting, filing, and scanning patient charts; other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Flexibility is a MUST
  • Previous clerical experience in a medical or dental office
  • Excellent communication in person and via phone.
  • Organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Punctual, professional, reliable, adaptability, and takes initiative
Education:
  • High school Diploma or GED BCI and FBI background check required This position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work by employees within this classification.
