Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Medical Assistant. We are looking for a positive, and enthusiastic individual to assist in providing patient care and clinic efficiency. This vital role combines clinical support, administrative duties, clerical duties, and patient interaction to ensure seamless healthcare delivery. This roll is working in an outpatient clinic with both in person and telehealth visits. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments across various specialties including dermatology, family medicine, aesthetics, and addiction recovery services. Collect patient information through intake interviews, record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate accurately using Electronic Health Record systems. Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort; administer medications and injections following proper protocols. Support diagnostic processes by assisting with imaging techniques as needed. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, medication refills, coding diagnoses with ICD and processing insurance documentation. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards. Assist with specimen collection and lab sample handling. Provide exceptional patient service by answering phone calls, patient questions, offering guidance on treatment plans, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to discharge. Requirements Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency procedures including CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS). Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and data management. Comfortability with computers, electronic medical records, and basic google suite programs. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration, X-ray procedures, and patient care when necessary. Willingness to learn new procedures, tasks, and assisting techniques as needed. Strong communication skills focused on patient service. Ability to get alone well with others and work both independently and also support team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
