- Mon-Thurs (7:00a-4:30p) Toledo Clinic - 3.3 Toledo, OH Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Medical assisting Full Job Description Full-Time Position - 4 Days per Week - Sign On Bonus Offered! Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Office located on Secor Rd in Toledo, OH is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and administrative MA support in a very busy practice. This position is Monday - Thursday (7:00am - 4:30pm). Employee benefits are offered. Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex:
RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A
). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
General Summary:
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office and as needed performs clinical duties Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
Answering phones - courteously and professionally. Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc. Accurately enter patient information in to the electronic medical record. Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications. Updating insurance information. Escorting patients to exam rooms. Preparing and maintaining exam rooms. Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to): Assisting physician with minor procedures. Preparing patients for physicians (vitals, histories, etc.). Answering patient questions at the request of the physician. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Required:
Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. Medical Assisting Credential (RMA, CMA, CCMA) Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
Education:
Medical Assisting degree or diploma required.
Preferred:
Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
