Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patient care. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical responsibilities, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing welcoming service while assisting healthcare providers with clinical tasks. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and medication information accurately Prepare patients for examinations by taking detailed histories and performing basic clinical assessments such as measuring blood pressure and pulse Support providers with clinical procedures including medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support when necessary Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake processes, and follow-up communications to ensure seamless clinic flow Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Assist with inpatient or outpatient care activities across various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic patient care principles Experience working in hospital settings or Level I/II trauma centers with exposure to emergency medicine or Geriatrics is highly desirable Proficiency in EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as appointment scheduling and insurance documentation Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, intake processing, and basic medication administration Familiarity with ICD coding standards and hospital experience in medical-surgical or PICU environments enhances your candidacy Excellent patient service skills with a friendly demeanor and clear communication abilities Knowledge of X-ray procedures or OR experience is a plus for supporting diagnostic or surgical workflows This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their healthcare expertise in a supportive environment that values energetic engagement and detailed professionalism.
