The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various medical systems, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked. Take patient histories and vital signs accurately. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures. Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Provide education to patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care. Manage scheduling of appointments for patients in various specialties including urgent care, dermatology, geriatrics, and hospital medicine. Ensure compliance with safety protocols within a Level II Trauma Center environment. Qualifications Knowledge of emergency medicine practices and protocols. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to various specialties including hospital medicine and dermatology. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. Experience working in a hospital or urgent care setting is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience in geriatrics or related fields is a plus.
