Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant team member who is comfortable working at the front desk and assisting in a clinic support role. This position primarily supports front desk operations while also assisting with clinical duties, including obtaining vital signs and supporting patient flow as needed. This role is ideal for someone with medical knowledge who enjoys both patient interaction and clinical support. Responsibilities Greet and check in/check out patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries Verify insurance and collect payments Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs (BP, HR, weight, etc.) Support clinical staff during busy periods to ensure smooth patient flow Maintain a clean and organized front desk and clinical area Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Requirements Previous experience in a medical office required Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required Strong understanding of basic clinical tasks (vitals, patient intake, etc.) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Experience with EMR systems (Elation experience a plus) Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
