Plans, develops, and implements educational programs in the outpatient setting. This position requires at least five (5) years of MA work experience.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday with varied hours as needed to meet the needs of this position. Intermountain offers employees up to $5,250 annually for education assistance and partners with schools for debt free programs As a Clinical Team Development MA your responsiblities will include: Develop and coach Medical Assistants (MAs) Develop and teach MA orientation and training materials. Maintain accountability with Clinical Team Development RN, Lead MA, and preceptors to accomplish orientation, education, and training of MA staff. Coach providers and MAs on building trusting work relationships that maximize patient centered care. Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the MA Scope of Practice. Advocate for MA clinical support roles as they pertain to primary care patient centered care. Make quality improvement recommendations by observing workflows, studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes. Execute MA role in pharmacy guidelines including vaccine administration process, controlled substances, CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) proficiency and general medication safety practices. Identify, create, implement, and standardize necessary MA protocols. Participate in clinic QI (Quality Improvement) meetings to support MA driven measures (for example, measures that rely on outreach) and actively participate in clinic process improvement projects that focus on the MA role. Competent in Ambulatory Epic Efficient and competent in core MA skills such as rooming patients, medication administration, care gaps, and screenings Minimum Requirements BLS certification from the American Heart Association 5 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting Preferred Qualifications Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications/registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA or have obtained certification within one year of hire.
