Role:
Medical Assistant Role Summary:
  • Provide a welcoming affirming environment for all patients
  • Obtain and document medical information including vital signs and medications
  • Set up and assist during medical examinations and procedures, including long-acting reversible contraception, PAP tests, and anoscopy
  • Administrative duties including answering patient messages, completing prior authorizations, and processing medication refills
Skills:
Vital signs, medication administration including subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, venipuncture Occasional point of care lab and phlebotomy tasks Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Electronic health record documentation
Minimum Requirements:

  • Cultural competence and commitment to fostering a diverse and equitable workplace
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English Education and/or
Experience:
Licensure / Certification / Registration
  • Medical Assistant certification required, can be Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
  • Basic Life Support certification required Education
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program required

Primary care, HIV specialty care, LGBTQ+ care, gender-affirming care
