Job Description

Support our local community, possibly your neighbor, by becoming a member of the primary care team to provide direct patient care and provider support in our Multi-Specialty Clinic.

Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to support our General Surgery program one week per month and serve as a float within our Primary Care Clinic the remainder of the time. Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting providers, managing patient communications, coordinating referrals, and supporting daily clinic operations. This position is scheduled MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m., with occasional 10-hour shifts as needed to meet operational demands. Candidates should be flexible, team-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.

Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification through a nationally recognized accredited program (AAMA, NHA, NCCT) is required.

Have and maintain Basic Life Support Provider (BLS).Two years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.

Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) required, EPIC experience is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent oral and written communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.

This is a Full-Time, onsite position that is eligible for benefits. • SCHHC pays the full employee-only amount for Health, Dental, Vision, and Basic Life & AD&D insurance. •Employment with Southern Coos Hospital is contingent upon an acceptable pre-employment drug screening and background check.
