Schedule is 4 10s, with a three day weekend every week! Monday 6:45AM-5:15PM, Tuesday-Thursday 7:45AM-6:15PM We are currently we are seeking a reliable full-time medical assistant for our Hillsboro location. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred!! No weekends required! Responsibilities Assist with patient check-in and scheduling. Basic medical assistant duties such as obtain and document patient history, vital signs, and other established screening procedures. Follow medical assistant workflow and procedures, make sure quality controls are in place, being performed regularly. Assist in ordering vaccines and other supplies as needed. Prepare and administer medications, injections and immunizations. Recognize and respond to emergencies. Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control. Perform CLIA waived tests (HgbA1C, HIV, UA, strep, urine drug screens). Performs basic administrative medical assisting functions including referrals and light administrative duty. Perform basic administrative lead functions in direct coordination with the clinic manager including staff training, HIPAA and OSHA management, quality controls, and supply inventory. Facilitate relationships between providers, front desk and other medical assistants. Work with practice administrator to oversee MA hiring, training and scheduling. Qualifications Must work quickly and efficiently. Must catch on quickly to new skills, must be self-starter (we don't want to mirco-manage you!) Must have some (minimum one year) family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, pediatrics or OB-GYN medical assisting experience. Prior experience using an Electronic Health Record Computer literacy Must be able to provide professional references, these will be checked. Knowledge of infection control principles and practices. Knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient rights.
