Job Description

Medical Assistant You will primarily be at our McMinnville clinic, but one day a week you will work in our Salem clinic. Receive and direct phone calls Schedule appointments Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, weight, review and update medication list Prior Authorizations for medications and procedures Administer injections and medications Prepare examination rooms Assist with chart preparation This job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones the employee can be required to perform. Employees are expected to perform other tasks and duties and participate in training as dictated by their supervisors. Qualifications for Medical Assistant High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred At least one year of experience working as a medical assistant Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to always communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner Must be detail-oriented and highly organized Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures Must be able to always maintain confidentiality
