  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This role involves providing exceptional patient service, assisting with medical administrative support, and ensuring a high standard of patient care. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient patient intake and support clinical operations. Duties Triage incoming calls, directing communication to appropriate staff, problem solving. Perform patient intake, including gathering medical history and vital signs. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures. Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation. Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems. Conduct basic life support as needed and respond to emergencies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Utilize medical terminology effectively for communication within the healthcare team. Support the management of patients in various specialties such as geriatrics, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Ensure Quality metrics are met and outreach and monitor patient compliance Requirements Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably with exposure to hospital experience or clinic experience. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with ICD coding and vital sign assessment is preferred. Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus (e.g., Level I or Level II trauma center experience). Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or urgent care settings. Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service and support. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable. Willingness to learn new skills related to medication administration and patient care practices.
