Traveling Medical Assistant (Full-time)

Location:

Various HVMG Physician Offices, Convenient Care, HV Pediatrics Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, varying daylight hours. Convenient Care may require weekends and/or holidays. Rooms patients, collects vital signs, review patient medication list and patient medical/social history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalent Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA

CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT

NCMA, or

NAHP NRCMA

) Current CPR certification Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practice Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office setting Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture Ability to travel within the assigned territory Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal notice Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

PREFERRED

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or degree program Pediatrics experience strongly preferred
