Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within our outpatient surgery center by providing exceptional administrative support, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently using scheduling software program. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification procedures accurately. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Handle incoming calls with professionalism and practicing excellent phone etiquette. Prepare and review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist with medical billing and collection processes related to insurance claims and patient payments. Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with health information management standards. Support office management tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry. Collaborate with clinical staff (Nurse Manager and Administrator) to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Flexibility with early start time required. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette are necessary for success in this role. Fast-paced work environment expectations.
