Position Summary:
A skilled, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to assist our physicians and nurses in providing routine, preventive and diagnostic patient care and medical management to children, adolescents and adults.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Years of Experience:
Previous experience as a medical assistant in health setting preferred
Certifications:
Medical Assistant Certification required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent patient service skills. Good computer skills. Able to file alphabetically and numerically. Ability to meet approved minimal physical and medical standards.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for the providers by obtaining and documenting medical history, vital signs, growth parameters, and reason for patient visit. Assist with examination and treatments. Administer injections. Performance of visual and auditory examination. Performs diagnostic laboratory procedures. Performs venipuncture and laboratory tests. Maintains documentation related to patient care. Models ChesPenn's commitment to an outstanding patient experience at all times. Exhibits exemplary teamwork in support of co-workers. Performs other duties as assigned.
