Job Description

We are a busy, patient-focused OB/GYN practice seeking a self-motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a caring bedside manner, and the ability to work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is required; experience specifically in women's health or an OB/GYN office is highly desirable. Primary responsibilities will include obtaining and recording vital signs, collecting and labeling laboratory specimens, administering injections, assisting clinicians during exams, and serving as a liaison between patients and providers. You will prepare and maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure a clean, comfortable environment for patients. Clinical tasks may also include drawing blood (phlebotomy) and performing NST testing; candidates with these skills will be given priority. Competence using electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills are essential for charting and communication. We value team members eager to learn and grow. This position offers excellent hands-on training opportunities to expand clinical skills, including additional procedures and EMR proficiency. Strong communication, professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to multitask are important for success in this full-time role. Candidates must be reliable, maintain patient confidentiality, and demonstrate empathy when interacting with a diverse patient population.
