$19.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch), no weekends, no holidays About Us Buckingham Psychiatry is a physician-owned private psychiatry practice in Doylestown, Bucks County, offering BrainsWay Deep TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and
SPRAVATO
® (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression and related conditions. We accept most major insurance plans (in-network) as well as private pay for these services. We are a patient-centered practice that prioritizes clinical quality over volume — you'll work directly with our board-certified psychiatrist in a calm, modern office environment, not a high-churn clinic. Position Overview We are hiring a full-time certified Medical Assistant to administer TMS treatments and support our
SPRAVATO
program. This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday. We provide full training and certification on the BrainsWay TMS system as well as training on the
SPRAVATO
® program and REMS protocols — no prior experience required, though prior TMS or
SPRAVATO
experience is a plus. This role is ideal for a certified MA who wants hands-on patient care, long-term patient relationships, and a foothold in the fast-growing field of interventional psychiatry. Responsibilities Administer daily Deep TMS treatments under physician supervision, including coil placement, motor threshold support, and session documentation Build rapport with patients across their 6-9 week treatment course; monitor comfort, side effects, and progress Administer and score standardized symptom rating scales (PHQ-9, GAD-7, etc.) Monitor patients during
SPRAVATO
sessions, including vital signs at required intervals per REMS protocol Room patients, take vitals, and assist with intake paperwork Maintain treatment equipment and a clean, welcoming treatment environment Schedule appointments, confirm visits, and assist with front-office coordination as needed Complete accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record to support treatment records and insurance billing (session notes, rating scales, REMS monitoring forms) Assist with insurance benefit verification, prior authorizations, and billing-related paperwork for TMS and
SPRAVATO
services
Qualifications Required:
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work on-site 5 days per week with a consistent weekday schedule (TMS patients attend daily — consistency matters) Strong interpersonal warmth and professionalism; comfort working closely with patients experiencing depression and anxiety Attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols precisely Basic computer/EMR proficiency Ability to provide professional references Successful completion of a background check prior to start date Preferred (not required): Prior TMS or
SPRAVATO
experience Experience with insurance benefit verification, prior authorizations, or medical billing Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a health-related field Prior experience in a medical or behavioral health office BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain — we'll cover it) What We Offer Paid training and certification on BrainsWay Deep TMS and the
SPRAVATO
® treatment program Health insurance Dental and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Small, supportive team with direct physician mentorship Consistent weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call Growth opportunity as the practice's interventional services expand How to Apply Submit your resume along with a brief note about why this role interests you. Applications without a note will still be considered, but we'd love to hear from you. Candidates advancing to the final stage will be asked to provide professional references, and any offer of employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check. Buckingham Psychiatry is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
