JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This dual role is essential for providing excellent patient care and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant Duties:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Obtain patient medical histories and vital signs. Prepare and administer injections, vaccinations, and medications as directed. Perform basic lab tests and manage lab specimens. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical systems.
Front Desk Receptionist Duties:
Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment. Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries. Check in patients, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing and data entry.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a medical assistant is preferred. Previous experience in a medical office or urgent care setting is a plus.
BAT & UDS
certified (required). Phlebotomy experience (required). Insurance prior authorization experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare team members. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
