Job Description

We have immediate medical assistant openings at our Honesdale office. If you are reliable, passionate about healthcare, pay attention to details, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-trust environment then read on. We will train the right person for the job.
Medical Assistant Job Duties:
Verify patient information by interviewing patient during intake; record medical history; confirm purpose of visit. Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure; reporting patient history summary in EMR. Assist Podiatrist by taking x-rays, setting up the proper tools for visit/procedure, completing diagnosis and procedure coding during dictation, and more. Must keep patient information confidential. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standard and procedures; comply with legal regulations and company protocols. Keep supplies ready by managing inventory. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications requesting additional training. Serves and protects the podiatry practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures. Cross train with the Front Desk.
Front Desk Job Duties:
Answer phones, take messages and greet patients Schedule appointments and follow up visits Completing Medical records Insurance verification and collections of all co-pays, deductible and coinsurance.
Requirements:
Experience is a plus! To complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in Excel and Word (MS) Athena EMR experience a plus but not mandatory Able to work with a team

1) Good phone skills, personable 2) Able to handle pressure well 3) Ability to complete tasks on time 4) Willingness to learn/ fast learner (2 weeks to learn the system) 5) Good with computers 6) Self starter 7) Attention to detail
Job Type:
