Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and skilled Medical Assistant to join our growing dermatology practice. This position is ideal for an individual looking for stable, long-term employment and opportunities for professional growth within our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting physicians during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries. Updating and maintaining accurate patient records (EHR, EMR). Providing pre- and post-surgery care, including obtaining consents, dressing changes, and suture removal. Processing prescriptions, refills, and prior authorizations promptly and accurately. Coordinating communication with patients and primary care physicians. Maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and readiness of examination rooms and medical instruments. Managing inventory of medical supplies and ensuring timely replenishment. Consistently communicating professionally, promptly, and reliably with patients.
Qualifications:
Integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Ability to learn quickly and function according to established practice procedures. Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Proficiency with Electronic Health / Medical Record (EHR / EMR) systems. Proficiency in health insurance processes, prior-authorizations, and prescription management. Caring, compassionate, and positive attitude towards patients. Team-oriented, with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. Organized with attention to detail. Professional conduct and appearance.
Compensation:
Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Schedule:
Full-time position, typical hours Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility required.
