Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a part time Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and will provide exceptional patient care in a medical office setting. This role involves supporting clinical operations through patient intake, vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and assisting with procedures, as well as providing telephonic triage to patients, managing prescription refills and lab orders, and pre-certs and prior auths. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic flow and delivering high-quality healthcare services. Hours include Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7:45am - 5:00pm. May include rotational Saturdays 8am - 12pm. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as medication administration, injections, and specimen collection Support patient service activities by providing compassionate care and addressing patient inquiries Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information and clinical notes securely Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked daily Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards Complete medication pre-authorizations and radiology pre-certs with insurance companies Telephonic clinical support with triage, discussing lab results, and managing prescription requests. Requirements Current certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program Prior experience in outpatient clinics Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery Experience working with diverse patient populations including Geriatrics TriValley is an equal opportunity

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
