Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, offering a rewarding opportunity to work in diverse medical settings such as dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, and more. You will be the friendly face patients see first, managing appointments, patient intake, and vital signs, while also assisting healthcare providers with clinical tasks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the medical team with essential administrative and clinical duties. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and perform intake procedures Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic physiology assessments Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters using ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures Support clinical workflows in diverse settings including inpatient units like PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics clinics, or Level I/II trauma centers Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications to ensure seamless patient flow Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assist with emergency procedures in urgent care or emergency medicine environments when needed Perform basic hospital experience tasks such as assisting in surgical or outpatient procedures and supporting Level I Trauma Center protocols Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; office experience preferred Knowledge of Family Practice Familiarity with EHR systems Hands-on experience with vital signs measurement and patient care procedures venipunctures injections preforming EKG Background working in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers Join us to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering compassionate patient service. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
