Sep 25, 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology certification is required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility in Neuropathology is required. Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of neuropathology fellows, medical residents, medical students, graduate students and postdoctoral or other scientists. Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and medical neuropathology, including intraoperative consultations (frozens) and on call duties. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of a translational, collaborative research program, preferably on brain tumors. Faculty on the CE track at the Perelman School of Medicine are expected to develop and sustain a record of academic productivity, which includes involvement in collaborative and/or independent research efforts leading to peer-reviewed published works. Faculty on this track are also expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and clinical care.
