Job Description

Job description: We are a fast-growing, multi-specialty practice with several locations throughout Philadelphia and Central and South Jersey. Our team includes otolaryngologists, audiologists, facial plastic surgeons, allergists, speech-language pathologists, and nurse practitioners, delivering specialized care across a wide range of conditions.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This role primarily supports the allergy team, working closely with allergists and allergy nurses to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment while assisting with both administrative and clinical responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients and vendors in a professional, welcoming manner Obtain and document patient medical history, including allergy-specific information Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately enter data into the Epic EMR system Assist allergists and providers with in-office procedures, including allergy shots (immunotherapy), skin prick testing and intradermal testing, biologic medication administration, oral and medication challenges, and allergen extract mixing Monitor patients during and after treatments for adverse reactions and respond appropriately Educate patients on allergy treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Schedule appointments for new and returning patients Handle incoming calls related to scheduling, prior authorizations, and medication refills Review and reinforce provider instructions to ensure patient understanding and compliance Maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper stocking of medical and allergy-related supplies Follow daily opening and closing clinical procedures Support front desk operations as needed, including patient check-in and check-out Perform general administrative tasks such as document scanning, patient follow-ups, and communication via phone, email, and internal systems Provide support to other specialties when needed
