Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at Lackawanna County Prison in Scranton PA.

Responsibilities:

Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks. Assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts and assists with medical examinations. Assists doctors in examining and treating patients. Performs routine procedures under established protocols (to include but not limited to phlebotomy, EKG's, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections). Maintains and stocks medicines and medical supplies as necessary. Practices safety, environmental and infection control methods.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification in and EKG Current CPR certificate Proficient with electronic medical records Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check
