Medical Assistant, Part Time

We have an immediate opportunity available for a part-time Medical Assistant ( up to 25 hours per week) in our Scranton office.

Responsibilities include:

 Perform front desk duties as assigned.  Respond to patient messages, fax reports, and create cases.  Provide patient care under supervision of the physician..  Carry out the efficient turnover and cleaning of exam rooms.  Administer immunizations and vaccines.  Collect and process laboratory cases.  Complete the referral and patient authorization process.  Adhere to work schedule including overtime and evening hours as assigned.  Complete patient medical histories, vital signs, and accurate documentation in the electronic computer system

Qualifications:

 High School Diploma or Equivalent  1-2 years Medical Assistance experience  Experience in Athena or similar EMR system  Demonstrated communication skills, excellent organization and attention to detail.  Demonstrated patient care.
