Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist with medical procedures across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach are essential. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature with precision Assist physicians with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, and basic procedures Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient information and treatment plans Support diagnostic processes by assisting with X-ray procedures and basic imaging techniques Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming appointments, and providing excellent patient service Assist with ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for accurate billing and record-keeping Support hospital-based units such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Geriatrics as needed Maintain compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications and infection control standards Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or Level I/II trauma centers
Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient settings preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology essential for accurate patient assessment Experience working with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding practices Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as X-ray or OR experience are advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinical procedures Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient service across diverse populations Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or emergency medicine settings Prior hospital experience or medical-surgical background is highly desirable Join our dedicated healthcare team where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes.
