Please only apply if you are willing to travel to both locations. Our provider is an independent contractor that rents space at both clinic locations. We are not apart of or affiliated with a hospital/medical group. We are looking for a Medical Assistant, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support our medical provider, Dr. Kenneth Yonemura by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations in both our offices. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the medical field and gain knowledge working with a Neurosurgeon of over 20 years. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and professionalism to each of our patients. This is a part time hybrid position. You will have the opportunity to work from home as well as be in the office. The 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month (depending on the schedule) will be anywhere between the hours of 9:00 am-2:00 pm or 9:00 am-4:00 pm•Bountiful location

9:30 am•3:30 pm Responsibilities Call to schedule new and established patients Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with new patients Creating and maintaining prior authorizations for surgery and imaging orders•working with insurance, hospitals, ICD-10 & CPT codes Answer/respond to voicemails, emails, faxes Manage patient charts with insurance information, medications and demographics Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas such as cleaning the rooms, chairs, beds, etc. Keep track of surgery schedule Send medical records upon request to insurance, patients, etc. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical environments such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics (we will train the right candidate) 2+ years in customer service Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient data management and documentation Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and teamwork across diverse healthcare disciplines Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering compassionate care while advancing your career in a supportive environment.
