Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will support outpatient clinic in person 1/2 day a week and the rest of the days are remote work but needs close communication . Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate service. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. Knowledgeable in insurance verification and scheduling. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support medical administrative functions such as ICD coding for diagnoses and coordinating follow-up care. Answers, directs and documents calls. Arranges follow-up visits and referral appointments. Accepts payments for physician/clinic services according to establishes guidelines. Post payments and enters charges into computer. Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification. Prior 1-2 years experience in clinical settings outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding. Experience working with EHR systems in hospital or clinic environments. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, intake processing. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
