Duties Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient consultations, procedures, and examinations. Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and perform basic physical assessments to support accurate diagnoses. Collect specimens for laboratory testing, perform phlebotomy procedures, and assist with medication administration when needed. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans. Assist with imaging procedures such as X-ray or other diagnostic tests in accordance with safety protocols. Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating medical histories, and answering patient questions with professionalism. Maintain medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with infection control standards across inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or similar outpatient environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support effective patient care. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and management of electronic health records. Experience performing phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Inpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers or within emergency medicine settings is advantageous. Familiarity with hospital operations including medical-surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics care, or internal medicine enhances your ability to adapt across diverse clinical environments.
