Are you an experienced medical assistant or nurse seeking a rewarding career opportunity with a Plastic Surgery practice ? Position Summary The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations and exceptional patient care. This hybrid position requires in-office attendance on Mondays and Fridays, with remote responsibilities performed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Responsibilities In-Office Duties (Monday & Friday): Check in and arrive appointments to include registration forms and insurance card copies. Collect copays, prior balances and any cosmetic surgery pre-payments due Room and prepare patients for consultations and follow-up appointments Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs Assist with examinations and minor office procedures Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical supplies Take clinical photographs as directed Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Remote Duties (Tuesday-Thursday): Manage patient communications via phone, email, and patient portal Coordinate appointments, consultations and surgical scheduling Create and deliver cosmetic quotes with patient. Process prior authorizations and insurance-related requests Review and organize medical records and documentation Assist with patient follow-up and care coordination Support administrative and practice management functions. Confirm appointments and complete re-registration process. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (preferred) Minimum 1-2 years of medical office experience; plastic surgery, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, or surgical specialty experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Knowledge of insurance processes and ability to check patients in and out at front desk. Experience with EMR systems Ability to work independently and maintain productivity while working remotely Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
