Physical Requirements Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; repetitive motion; standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Shift Primarily Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm, with occasional nights and weekends per departmental needs. Job Summary The Medical Staff Affairs Assistant Director oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive enterprise strategies and processes mission critical to UK HealthCare Enterprise initiatives, patient safety and financial viability. This leader is responsible for collaborating with the Medical Staff Affairs Director to ensure integration and alignment of Credentialing, Privileging, Provider Enrollment, and Peer Review programs related to reimbursement, accreditation and compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations related to healthcare activities with the Enterprise's strategic objectives. This position requires advanced understanding of government guidelines and accreditation standards. Team leadership is a critical part of this position as is strong communication with the Medical Staff Affairs Director, and other leaders across the organization with dedication to upholding UK HealthCare's Mission, Vision and Values. This is a hybrid position; office located at 115 Waller Ave. There is an internal candidate being considered.
Skills / Knowledge
/ Abilities The ideal candidate for this position will possess experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CACTUS, eKASPER, Provider Database Management. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education/Experience Master's Degree and 4 years of credentialing/privileging experience and/or administrative experience and and/or data management.
