Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) TruCare Medical Associates Cranston, RI Job Details Temporary | Full-time $18 - $22 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Continuing education credits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Qualifications Medical scheduling Administrative experience Patient care Organizational skills Office experience Full Job Description Overview This is a temporary full time position covering a maternity leave, with the potential for ongoing employment after the leave period ends. The Medical Assistant is a key member of the Physician Practice and assists Providers with the delivery of care. The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparatory tasks to ensure the efficiency of the practice and customer service of the patient. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing insurance information. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Skills Proficient in basic use of office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer. Knowledge of eClinicalWorks would be an advantage but not required. Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision. Familiarity with medical administrative support functions, including electronic health records (EHR). Familiarity with eClinical Works is a plus. Experience in office settings is preferred. Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic clinical assessments. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals (in-person and telephone). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical tasks and administrative duties. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
