Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service, supporting physicians and healthcare providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor. Support physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, performing basic imaging, and assisting in minor procedures. Return patient phone calls. Process patient medication prior authorizations. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently to ensure accurate documentation of patient information and ICD coding for diagnoses. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to safety standards and infection control protocols.

Experience Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation and communication. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy enhances ability to assist in patient care. Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained current. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service while managing multiple responsibilities in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or outpatient clinics.
