Medical Assistant (Surgery Center) Charleston ENT & Allergy - 3.2 Charleston, SC Job Details 5 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Surgery Center of Charleston, a division of Charleston ENT & Allergy, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing ambulatory surgery center team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing excellent patient care, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team. At Surgery Center of Charleston, a division of Charleston ENT & Allergy, we believe that great patient care starts with a great team. This position offers an exceptional work-life balance with a consistent daytime schedule, a four-day work week, and no evenings, Fridays, weekends, or major holidays. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced surgical, nursing, and administrative professionals in a supportive, team-oriented environment that values collaboration, respect, and professional growth. Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients for their scheduled procedures Assist with patient registration and documentation Manage and maintain medical records and patient documentation Support pharmacy-related duties as directed Assist with operating room turnover and room preparation between cases Maintain supplies and inventory throughout the surgery center Support nursing and administrative teams with daily operational needs Ensure compliance with patient privacy, infection control, and safety standards Contribute to a seamless patient experience from check-in through discharge Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required Previous healthcare, medical office, or surgery center experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Experience with EMR systems preferred Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift supplies throughout the workday This position is Monday through Thursday, 5:45 am to 3:00 pm.
