Job Description

Responsibilities You will process initial, renewal, and/or reinstatement applications for Medical Examiner and Podiatry licensure (via paper, online, and in-person), utilizing applicable databases and software. You will review and evaluate documents and ensures all necessary requirements for licensure are completed. You will assemble, prepare, and scan documents to records system. You will assist with coordinating board and committing meetings, including working with members and preparing materials for review. You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to requests related to Medical Examiners and Podiatry application and licensing processes. You will provide other administrative support services as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
MANDATORY
Must be able to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check and be vetted by SLED Criminal Justice Information Services. Preferred Qualifications A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Strong customer service. Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Ability to understand and follow complex instructions. Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and organizational functions. Ability to process meeting notes and minutes. Other Requirements Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing. May require occasional work outside of normal office hours. May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
