Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures and excellent interpersonal skills to provide high-quality patient care in both outpatient and hospital settings. Duties Assist healthcare professionals in various clinical tasks, including patient assessments and basic life support procedures. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Manage patient flow within the clinic, ensuring timely appointments and efficient use of resources. Support outpatient services by performing administrative tasks such as coding and maintaining accurate patient records. Collaborate with nursing staff in the PICU or OR settings as needed, demonstrating adaptability in high-pressure environments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms to comply with health regulations. Assist in the management of patients in hospital medicine settings, particularly within a Level II trauma center or internal medicine departments. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is preferred. Familiarity with outpatient care processes, coding practices, and basic life support certification is advantageous. Experience working in a clinic environment or with hospital medicine teams will be considered a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential for success in this role.
