Job Description

Success Profile We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the physicians and collaborate with the staff in providing exceptional patient care. The CMA will be responsible for both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and excellent patient service are paramount. This role demands a professional who can maintain a humble service-minded approach, and communicate effectively with patients and the team.
Expected Daily Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by updating medical histories and explaining upcoming steps. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and instruments. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Perform routine laboratory tests, such as drawing blood and collecting specimens.
Clinical Support:
Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment. Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow-up visits. Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy and confidentiality. Manage patient inquiries via phone or email, providing information and assistance. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient experience.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential through an accredited certification body (e.g., AAMA, AMT).
Experience:
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
