Job Description

Job Summary Triage patients- blood pressure, pulse oxygen, weight Document medications and surgeries into patient charts Respond to patient portal messages Sterilization Prescription ordering Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information in triage, and assist with intake procedures to ensure efficient charting Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism in Athena Prepare patients for examinations by documenting medical histories and current symptoms using electronic health record (EHR) systems Assist healthcare providers during procedures if needed Support clinical operations by managing medical supplies, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in exam rooms and treatment areas Document patient encounters accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes in Athena Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care to promote health literacy and adherence via our patient portal with physician guidance Experience Prior experience working in private practice or OBGYN a plus Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts and medical practice setting Experience supporting diverse female patient population Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs collection accurately in fast-paced environment RN, RMA, CMA, CMMA, or similar certification is required starting July 2026 according to new medical assisting regulations. Full Time availability required Monday to Friday.
