Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Busy pediatric office looking for a full time CMA for our Loris, SC office. The ideal candidate must be tactful and motivated, a team player, patient and understanding, have effective communication skills, a positive attitude and be professional and reliable. The individual should expect to process 30 patients per day. The preferred candidate should have at least 1 year of medical office experience, experience in EMR systems, and experience in administering injections (will be taught in office if experience is lacking). Experience in a Pediatric Office is preferred. Pay will depend on experience. As a CMA you would be responsible for the initial triage of patients. This includes taking vital signs, heights, weights, hearing and vision screens, urine specimens, hemoglobin, blood sugars, swabs for other oral lab tests and lead levels by capillary puncture as needed. This includes the correct recording of this data in the patient charts, medical system EHR and Online Vaccine Registries. The CMA assists during the medical examination as needed, assists in the cleaning and sterilization or instruments used in the clinic, and assists in the disinfection of the patient exam rooms, work-up areas and equipment and performs other duties as assigned.
