Certified Medical Assistant

Busy multi-location dermatology practice is looking for an experienced medical assistant/medical scribe. Clinical Medical Assistant

• Charleston, South Carolina Area Will have to travel to our North Charleston and Moncks Corner locations on certain days.

General Summary:

Under the direction of the physician and clinical manager, employee provides a variety of clinical, scribe and clerical duties, including assisting with patient flow, preparing patients for examinations and/or outpatient procedures, including assisting with exams and procedures, extensive electronic chart documentation.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Initial assessment and electronic documentation of patient: vital signs, chief complaint,etc. Document and maintain electronic patient chart, including meaningful use, medication reconciliation, pertinent patient history, etc.
• Ability to scribe during patient exams
• Preps patient and exam room for skin exams and/or various procedures, including outpatient surgeries.
• Ensures proper collection of specimens.
• Must be dependable, responsible, committed, and a team player!
