Job Description

What We Offer Coordinates and supports providers and nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Provider (APP), or Physician, this role assists with patient care activities, maintains accurate documentation, and helps create a safe, efficient, and welcoming clinic environment. This position functions similarly to a Medical Assistant but does not require Medical Assistant certification. It is a patient-focused, administrative role within a specialty clinic setting, with limited hands-on clinical responsibilities. The individual will work closely with Physicians and Physician Assistants to room patients, gather and document patient information in EPIC, support clinic workflow, return patient phone calls, manage voicemail messages, and assist with scheduling and patient check-out activities. This role does not perform injections, EKGs, blood draws, or vital sign collection.
Hours :
Monday - Friday 8AM until 4:30PM What You'll Do Deliver exceptional patient care by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for provider visits. Assist providers with examinations, screenings, and procedures within scope of practice. Perform point-of-care testing, document results accurately, and support laboratory quality standards. Maintain accurate patient records and support referrals, scheduling, registration, and check-out activities. Create a welcoming, patient-centered experience through compassionate communication and outstanding customer service. Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality care. Maintain required certifications, competencies, and ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience:
Two years Acute experience for CNA 1, preferred. One year CNA2 or EMT, preferred. One year Experience in healthcare setting or Physician Assistant or medical school student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
NA I in good standing within the NA registry;
OR NA II
in good standing with NA II certification with required state; OR EMT current credential in appropriate state; OR One year clinical (medical) office experience; OR Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in accredited program or in gap year Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
