The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures. Experience in ENT (otolaryngology) or facial plastic surgery is strongly preferred. Our EHR (electronic health record) system is ModMed. Responsibilities Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories. Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits to enhance patient care continuity. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions. Assist physician with patient examinations and procedures. Conduct basic life support (BLS) as needed in emergency situations. Support outpatient and inpatient care by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Manage administrative tasks such as prior authorizations Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant Familiarity with medical terminology is essential. Basic life support certification or advanced certifications are a plus (e.g., ACLS). Strong understanding of patient care principles across various specialties including geriatrics, emergency medicine, and medical-surgical care. Experience with EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management. Prior experience assisting in procedures is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient service. Familiarity with ModMed EMR is advantageous. Schedule Day shift Monday through Friday No nights No weekends
