Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings, including outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a solid understanding of medical procedures and terminology. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting patient care delivery, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Neurology experience preferred but not required. Duties Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs accurately Assist with patient examinations and procedures in various specialties. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation Utilize EHR systems for charting, ICD coding, and updating patient records efficiently Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety standards Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient service across outpatient and inpatient settings Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, or emergency settings is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical-surgical procedures Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or trauma centers are advantageous Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations including geriatrics. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinical tasks.
