Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Certified Medical Assistant Lead (CMA), you take a leadership role in the department, acting as a trainer, resource and mentor for other Medical Assistants and staff.

Every day, you will accurately preform preliminary physical tests such as: measures blood pressure, records weight, temperature, pulse and respirations and other measures as directed by established clinical protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork. Direct and guide back office staff in monitoring and expediting workflow. Handle medical supply inventory, orders, and cost control. Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider. Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration. Job Requirements Required High School Graduate or High School GED and May require specialized training, such as Non-Certified Radiologic Technician. Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or 4 years Medical Assistant experience required Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days Preferred Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course or Exam Electronic health record experience
