  • $16 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Retirement plan Qualifications Photography Vital signs Optical experience BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Patient care EMR systems Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description While we provide comprehensive routine eye care and vision services to patients of all ages, our optometric practice is focused on eye health care and the management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, pre and post management of patients who require surgery for cataracts, retinal detachments, glaucoma, etc.
as well as those electing to have Lasik or other refractive surgery. Located in Hixson, TN., we are seeking to add a qualified member to our staff who will assist our doctors by collecting vital signs, medication/case histories, perform visual fields testing, and retinal imaging, retinal photography, corneal topographical mapping, and other types of diagnostic testing. Experience in an optometric or medical office or appropriate ancillary healthcare education /certification is required. Accurate and thorough case histories are expected. From time to time, other duties may include;
  • Checking patient in or out of the office
  • Assisting patients with contact lens wearing / orders
  • Obtaining and verifying insurance benefit information
  • Answering telephones
